Beef Salpicao with Mushrooms Recipe
Good afternoon my fellow Filipinos I'm Chris Urbano bringing you food and fun from the Philippines.
Today we're doing Salpicao this is an excitingFilipino dish of Spanish origins, you're going
to love this one check it out.
So what are my twists in my version of Salpicao?
I'm going to be using Australian grass fedscotch fillet, so with Salpicao its important
because you're just searing it to use a reallygood and tender cut of meat.
Use a good olive oil in your fry pan and getthat nice and hot
And we're going to start with bawang (garlic)and sibuyas (onion) to get the recipe started.
Next we'll add in our shallots, long greenchillis and the bell peppers.
Next I'll add our beef to the frypan.
A good tip when cooking salpicao is to starta timer as soon as you add the beef and you
can be searing this for about 3 to 4 minutes,and then moderate heat for 3-4 minutes until
the beef is cooked.
Once the searing is complete you can stirthrough all the other ingredients: Mushrooms,
Worcestershire sauce, Oyster Sauce and lastlya little butter
So our cooking is finished, I just pulledoff some beef, its cooked about medium.
I'll just put it to the side while I cookup some fried cabbage.
I'm heating a mixture of olive oil and butterhere.

wine to have with it.
I'm super excited to try this lets do it.
Ang maganda is the rich combination of flavourhere, today I'm trying it with an Australian
Sangiovese, you can drink this with a beeras well, or just any simple medium to heavy
red wine.
